A gorgeous day for Rod Coyne’s Painting Demonstration

Rod Coyne chose a bright and sunny day for his painting demonstration on Easter Saturday. His visitors watched him create a painting of the old Methodist Church in the Vale of Avoca. He talked his attentive audience through the process and technique of his painting.

Impressions of Impressionists

Edward Monet was the starting point for this week’s class. The exercise was to study the French master’s style through working from an impressionist landscape painting. Students painted their own versions after watching Rod demonstrate first. While the rain fell out doors it was all sunshine in the studio. The results were both exciting and enlightening with regard to that infamous painting genre. Rod: “it’s been super mornings work”.
